Solution is not on the other side of the
border!...
No! to Turkish Army’s intervention
to Southern Kurdistan!...
Turkish army is in the process of military deployment in
unimaginable dimensions on the Iraqi and Iranian borders in
order to intervene in Southern Kurdistan.
The excuse is just the same as before, “To eradicate the
PKK terror.”
However, the Turkish
State has carried
out numerous military interventions to the Southern
Kurdistan since 1983 and they all were based on
the same excuse. They bombed vineyards, orchards, fields,
gardens, villages, murdered dozens of Southern Kurdish peasants,
but failed to prevent PKK actions, hence “was incapable in
eradicating the terror.”
There is no doubt that this time it will be just the same.
This is because the reasons of terror and violence are within
the borders, not without.
The PKK and its applied violence is the outcome of the state
terror upon the forces of democracy, revolutionaries and the
Kurdish people, in brief; the colonialist policy. The hullabaloo
about the PKK terror, the Turkish state is in the process
of dissemination across the national and international level
is intended to misguide the public opinion in order to utilise
military deployment along the borders.
The Turkish State
does not hide the fact that it is against the federation,
The Kurdish Parliament, and the Government, in sum; the national
gains that were secured in the south, and it is their intention
to convince the US to attack Kurdish
military bases along the borders.
The regime manipulates the PKK’s existence in Southern
Kurdistan in order to apply pressure upon the
Government of Kurdistan and political parties.
Thus attempts to bring US and Kurds against one another,
fuel the clashes between various Kurdish groups and upset
the harmony within the Southern Kurdish region.
The last deployment on both sides of the border in the hands
of the Turkish state, which is the mortal enemy of the democratic
and national rights of Kurds is also an attempt to turn the
outcomes of any potential clash between US-Iran as adverse
as possible.
Turkey attempts to frighten and suppress
Kurds in Iran and Iraq
with military manoeuvres and consolidate the military structure,
thus weaken the democratisation and EU unification process.
It is for this reason that AKP Government should stop aiding
the process that eases the aims of militarists, pro-status
Quo elements, opponents of the EU, racist-chauvinists and
instead move in the direction of taking steps towards a democratic
solution to the Kurdish Question, which will ease the strain.
It will have to respect the will of Southern Kurds
and establish good relations with the Government of Kurdistan.
Revolutionary, progressive, peace-loving elements of Turkey
should raise their voices and stand united against any intervention
to the Southern Kurdistan in the hands
of the state, which will do nothing if make the problem even
more complicated instead of solving it. .
Lead by US and EU, United Nations and other international
bodies must apply pressure to prevent attacks of the Turkish
state, which will do nothing other than worsening the situation
and delay the peace in the region and actively support the
political structure in Southern Kurdistan.
They should offer support the Kurdish Patriotic movement in
order to ensure a peaceful and democratic solution of the
Kurdish problem.
PKK must avoid acts that will upset the stability and harmony
in the Southern Kurdistan and must
dismantle military bases along the border in order to deprive
the Turkish Government of any excuse to attack.
Both within the country and abroad, Kurdish patriotic movement
must raise its democratic demands in peaceful and democratic
means in order to prevent any attack on Southern
Kurdistan and expose the insidious anti-Kurdish
plans of the regime.
