Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan,
Primeminister
Mr Bulent Arinc,
The Turkish Grand National Assembly
It is with great worry that we during the last days follow
the development in Turkey regarding the, in the name of “fighting
terrorism”, increased violations of kurdish national freedom
and rights.
The military operations at the borders of southern Kurdistan
are a danger, create instability in the area and aim at a
military solution of the Kurdish issue. We demand an immediate
retreat of the Turkish military forces from the Kurdish area.
The solution of the Kurdish issue is primarily a question
of regocnition of the existance of the Kurdish people. It
is our opinion that it is democratic methods that resolutly
should be used, for the best of the peoples, and hereby wish
to gain Your attention to this.
In connection with this we demand the release of the three
kurds Ibrahim Güçlü, Zeynel Abidin Özalp and Sedat Ogur, who
have been taken into custody in Diyarbakir because they have
exercised their democratic rights during a legal demonstration.
